Generally, disability insurance is not designed to factor in ministers’ benefits and housing allowance. So, if you become ill or disabled, the amount that the insurance company is willing to pay you will probably be even less than a secular person with the same salary.

• Most plans only replace 60% of the insured’s income. For most families that is totally inadequate.
• Generally, benefits will stop after two years if you qualify for ANY KIND of employment if you can’t resume your former employment.
