Optimum Advantage Plan Subscription

For Tax Year 2026

Services provided on the ClergyAdvantage® Optimum Advantage Plan

  • Tax return preparation of one personal Standard* Clergy Federal and State tax return, with electronic filing.
  • Extension filing on your behalf for Federal and/or state as deemed necessary
  • Up to four hours of tax consultation – for questions, tax planning and maximizing opportunities for tax savings.
    (Tax consultations are unavailable during tax season: February through April.)
  • Review of one prior year return and amendment if necessary. (Limited to new tax clients only)
  • Proprietary Tax Organizer, forms and worksheets to help you collect tax information.
  • Access to all proprietary tax and financial planning resources offered by ClergyAdvantage®.
  • Personal consultation with a partnering Financial Advisor – specializing in retirement investment strategies for ministry professionals to help you maximize your biggest tax advantage: Retirement Planning.

Exclusions:

  • Audit representation for audits by the Internal Revenue Service, State, or Local taxing authorities.
  • Returns for business entities, non-profits or trusts.

Subscription Fee:

$115 per month for 12 consecutive months.

PLEASE NOTE: Fees in addition to the monthly subscription will apply for the following items and are invoiced upon completion of said service.

  • *The Plan covers only the base fee for a Standard Clergy Tax Return: If your return includes any of the following complexities, there may be additional fees invoiced when the return is completed:
    • Multiple state return filing
    • Rental properties
    • Non-Ministry “Schedule C” business
    • Sale or Purchase of real estate
    • Foreign missionary income
    • Income from Partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps or Trusts
    • Numerous stock transactions, crypto currency reporting
    • Any other non-typical reporting requirements or complexity.
  • If Additional time or resources needed to complete your return, there may be additional fees
  • Consultation time over the four hours provided in this Plan will be invoiced at standard rates

Terms of this Agreement:

Please read through these carefully.

  1. You understand and accept that the Plan subscription is for 12 months with 12 consecutive monthly payments. Your credit card will be kept on file and will be charged monthly for the Plan subscription fee, or you can opt to pay at once, the full annual subscription in full. Subscription payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Should the card on file expire or decline the charge:

    You will be notified by email and must provide a new card immediately. Should plan payments become delinquent beyond two monthly payments, the plan will be cancelled. All services provided on the plan up to that the point would be invoiced at standard prices.

    Plan cancellation: You understand that should you cancel your subscription before all 12 monthly payments are made, you lose any discounts included in the plan and all services provided or any work done on your behalf will be invoiced at standard rates against the monies collected. Any balance due must be paid immediately. Any remaining funds collected can be applied to other services, but will not be refunded.

  2. Up to 4 hours consultation time is included with this Plan. Consultation time is not transferable. Unused time does not roll over to the following year, and its value cannot be applied to any other services. Consultations that exceed the time available on the Plan will be invoiced at the standard consultation rate.
  3. You understand and accept that the ClergyAdvantage® Optimum Advantage Plan renews automatically.  Should you not wish to renew the Plan you must contact us in writing. 
  4. You understand and accept that the tax return included in this Plan is for a Standard Clergy Tax Return, as defined by ClergyAdvantage®.  Tax returns with additional complexities, or that require more time, or resources will result in additional fees that are invoiced in addition to plan payments when the return is completed.  The invoice for additional fees will be sent via email to the email address on file. Payment must be submitted either on our online payment portal, by mailing a check or by contacting our accounting office.  If the invoice for additional fees is past due, you will receive an email reminder, and your account is placed on hold with no further tax services provided until  the invoice is paid.
  5. You agree to provide all required and requested information necessary to complete your tax return(s). You understand that your tax file will not move on to your tax advisor until all required items have been received. This includes all items of income subject to income tax as well as the ClergyAdvantage® Tax Organizer, State questions and other applicable questionnaires, forms and supporting documentation.
  6. The Document Submission Deadline is March 15 at 5:00PM (Mountain Time) for returns to be filed by April 15.  For extended returns,  the Document Submission Deadline is September 1 at 5:00PM (Mountain Time) for return to be filed by October 15. You understand that if any required documents are received after the submission deadline, we cannot guarantee that your return will be completed in time to file by the filing deadline. In Tax Season (prior to April 15) we will file an extension for you as a precaution. For extended returns the IRS does not provide any additional extension options, so missing the October filing deadline will make your return filing delinquent.  While we will make every effort to complete your tax return as quickly as possible, you are responsible for prompt response to questions or requests, ensuring you have submitted all required items and have signed your e-file authorization in a timely manner to afford us the time needed for electronic filing by the filing deadline.
  7. The deadline for return preparation under this agreement is October 15, 2027. After this date, a delinquent return agreement must be signed for delinquent return filing. Be aware that delinquent return preparation has an additional $100 fee that must be paid before the return can be worked.
  8. You agree to allow ClergyAdvantage® to file on your behalf any Federal or State Tax Extensions as are deemed necessary.
  9. You understand that quality work takes time. The average turnaround time for a completed tax return is 3 weeks. This time frame can increase during the weeks preceding the April 15 and October 15 filing deadlines .
  10. You agree to retain, for a minimum of five (5) years, all documents, receipts, statements, and any other records required to substantiate the items of income and expense reported on your return(s).
  11. You agree to immediately submit to ClergyAdvantage® any letters or notices from the IRS or state taxing authorities.
  12. You understand that ClergyAdvantage® will use professional judgment in resolving any discrepancies regarding the interpretation of tax law, and conflicting opinions between the tax authorities’ interpretation and other supportable positions.
  13. You understand that ClergyAdvantage® will not audit or otherwise verify any information you provide. However, we may require clarification or additional information before filing.
  14. You understand that ClergyAdvantage® is not responsible for disallowed deductions or the inclusion of additional unreported income or any resulting taxes, interest and/or penalties assessed.
  15. In the event of a preparer error on your return, ClergyAdvantage® will be responsible for any penalty assessed due to such an error. You will be responsible for additional tax and interest that may be assessed.
  16. Tax return review and amendment feature in this plan is a New Client first-year benefit only. It is for one prior year return that was not prepared by ClergyAdvantage® Returning clients are not eligible for this service. 
  17. You agree to accept communications from  ClergyAdvantage® via phone, email or text message regarding important notifications, requests for documents or information, reminders or updates. You also agree to keep your contact information updated and respond to any requests in a timely manner.
  18. ClergyAdvantage® reserves the right to withdraw from this Plan, at its discretion. Withdrawal can occur for (but not limited to): failure to provide information in a timely manner, refusal to comply with reasonable requests or misrepresentation of any facts.  Withdrawal will release Clergy Advantage, Inc. from any obligation to complete any service and will constitute completion of this agreement.  You agree to compensate Clergy Advantage, Inc. for time and expenses incurred for services through the date of withdrawal.
